Day 5 - Friday, February 4

Sunday Bay

This was another double chickee site. It would be very crowded with more than about six people total. There were ospreys all over the place. We saw several dive for fish.

Al and I again went exploring (off the map) and found another "creek." We kept flushing a large flock of ducks from their resting places.

 

Our last dinner on the trail was Al's garlic and parmesan pasta with polenta fried in olive oil.

As the stars came out I noticed that there were too many reflections in the water. Some sort of animal was flashing its lights just under the surface. I think it may have been a jellyfish. Later that night I noticed that water glowed when it was disturbed by a paddle or similar stimulus. Some sort of bioluminescent micro organism. Two glow in the dark phenomena in one night!
