Our planning came off without a hitch. We drove down to the Everglades City Ranger Station early on Sunday morning to get a permit. There were no problems and we got all the campsites we wanted. After two attempts we found a boat and captain through the Ivey House and made arrangements to be dropped off 25 miles down the coast.
