Day 2 - Tuesday, February 1

Our second day began with a headwind as paddled down the coast.

Here I am with a crabby friend. There were many dead Limulus Polyphemus on the beaches.

Hog Key

Unlike the first night, it took us a while to identify our second campsite. Hog key is "unimproved." There wasn't even a sign, just a series of beaches.

The beach was all plowed up and we saw deer tracks everywhere - or so we thought. While we were cooking dinner the welcoming committee showed up - a large boar with tusks - the head hog of Hog Key. He walked around our campsite neither inquisitive or aggressive.
