Draft, Converting Older Site

I upped my sailing capabilities this year with a Hobie Islander and homemade benches of my own design. It performed well going downwind, in a pleasant breeze, to get to the far (southern) end of Pavilion Key, where I camped the first night. But alas the wind turned around and blew hard from the east. Even with the sail reefed I had a hard time steering. I bailed out and returned to Rabbit Key instead of going further south.

Part of my DIY project was to make the benches dual use. I removed them from the boat and put them together to make a nice sleeping platform on the beach. This worked very well, but it turned out they were too heavy for the boat, so I re-engineered them to be narrower and lighter for the next trip.
